Sarge’s Deli

Okay, really this is the best deli in NYC. Not close to traditional tourist destinations, this Murray Hill gem is fabulous.

Several years back, Callie and I were staying in a hotel near the UN, and we got a late start one day (imagine!). Callie wanted breakfast, so I checked with Yelp and found Sarges. First, they are open 24 hours, which is pretty handy. But on top of that, they have great deli food (killer Reubens), and my sandwich came with vegetable soup that definitely never saw a can. All vegetable, and hot and tasty! Friendly waitstaff, too!
